The holiday season is around the corner, and the Trove Fashion team is busy pulling together fabulous secondhand looks for every festive occasion! Today, we’re sharing more of their favourite consigned pieces, including popular brands that fly off the racks and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it underrated treasures that are definitely worth the hunt.

What's the coolest item in the shop right now?

We’re drooling over this pair of vintage clip-on earrings! Clip-on earrings are a great jewelry option for those who don’t have pierced ears, and this ornate pair is perfect for a special occasion.

These earrings are a little piece of jewelry history: C and D Jewelry, the maker of this piece, was associated with Iradj Moini, who has been designing luxury costume jewelry in New York City since 1989. C and D Jewelry has since been dissolved, making these exceptional pieces very rare. C&D vintage jewelry pieces typically sell on the secondhand market for anywhere from $500-$1,200. This is vintage luxury fashion at its best!

What's the most popular item right now?

Vintage cashmere is extremely popular. It gets snapped up so quickly that we can barely get it out on the racks! Cashmere pieces that were produced 15-20+ years ago tend to be of much better quality than newer pieces. As a result, vintage cashmere usually comes in at a higher price point, but it will last a lifetime with proper care. 

Here’s a quick primer on cashmere: this fiber, which is made from the wool of cashmere goats, can vary greatly in quality depending on which part of the goat it comes from. Vintage cashmere is usually made from the longer, softer front end and belly fibers, while modern cashmere is woven from shorter, lower-quality fibers from the goat’s back. We have lots of consigned Lululemon pieces available at the moment. You can find recent styles along with some of their cult classic pieces from past collections. Most of them are in unworn/mint condition, so you can easily refresh the activewear in your closet and get a jumpstart on your 2024 adventures!
